Welcome to the DFNI x Air4casts December 2024 Traffic Tracker, a monthly update on the latest air passenger data actuals gathered exclusively for DFNI by Air4casts and Airports Council International (ACI).
For December and for the whole of 2024 over 1200 airports have so far published their passenger actuals and together they are again reporting excellent growth in global demand for air travel. Combined December international and domestic air passenger numbers globally increased by 8.2% points over 2023 and were 5.1% up on December 2019. Within the mix however are significant regional performance differences.
International Airports
Global international air passenger traffic was 11% points ahead of 2023 in December and 7.9% ahead of the same month in 2019.
